1934 OMEGA Jumbo Tank Watch Caliber T17 Wristwatch
"Vintage Omega watches are very highly regarded for their quality, particularly their movements which are outstanding."
From the CK series and dated from 1934, one of the first ever produced, this is a vintage oversize jumbo Omega tank wristwatch.
Probably made for the luxury retailers of the era, this watch has a high-grade manual wind Omega movement, the caliber T 17 (T: tonneau/barrel shape & 17: the maximum width in millimeters), 17 jewel, unadjusted, sub-second, 60-hours power reserve, Swiss made.
Designed in 1934 and more than 167,400 pieces produced through 1943, the caliber T 17 was designed by Charles Perregaux (under the direction of Henri Gerber). With 60-hours power reserve, “the T 17 had the largest power reserve of all the mechanical wristwatch movements made by Omega until the caliber 8500 of 2006!”
Super UNIQUE! Also, in pristine condition! This watch is cased in a 22 x 32.7mm jumbo tank case, fancy stepped side and lug design, all in 14K gold filled. Matching perfect, this watch is coming with a vintage (signed Bulova) black Genuine Leather two-piece strap.
Original white dial with gold Arabic Numerals, “railroad” minute tracks and gold matching hands. The sub second is located at 6 also the dial is signed with the Omega name and logo.
The watch is still in good condition! Runs very well, keeps great time.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended. Please review the photos and feel free to ask any questions you may have. It will be carefully packed. Please view our other listings. Thank you for looking!
